Add resources and teams to a scheduled activity

Outsource scheduled activities in the daily plan to third-party resources. Manage capacity and specialized labor for purely operational assignments and complex, contract-driven accounting workflows. To ensure specific resources perform specialized tasks, label mandatory and favorite resources.

Access the association menu

To associate resources and teams from a plan:

  1. Navigate to Features > Core > Daily and Multi-day Plan.

  2. Click one:

    • Daily Plan

    • Multi-day Plan

    • Weekly Plan

  3. In the Schedulable Activities tab, right-click a task in the Activity List table.

  4. Select Associate Resources and Teams

To associate resources and teams through the Schedulable Activities quick menu:

  1. Find a specific resource in the row.

  2. Click the Options icon.

  3. Find the association feature. 

Designate a mandatory or favorite resource

To add constraints to a resource:

  1. In the list of available resources and teams, select the resource or team.

  2. Drag or drop the resource into either category:

    • Mandatory: The activity must be assigned to this resource. 

      • Note: If the resource is unavailable, the activity remains unscheduled rather than being given to someone else.

    • Favorite: This resource is prioritized. Activities are assigned to a more efficient resource if a favorite resource is unavailable or if there are significant delays.

  3. Click Save.

Handle manual assignment conflicts

To prevent misassignment, the system triggers a warning message if you drag and drop an activity onto a resource that is not the mandatory assignee.

Note: To override the warning message, manually assign the other resource.
