Job Bundler

At its core, Job Bundling is the process of predicting and grouping multiple, smaller WO operations into a single, cohesive entity known as a Bundle. These bundled operations are then scheduled, dispatched, and accounted for together as one unified work package.

The Linear Asset extension of this feature is purpose-built for the complex demands of infrastructure networks (such as pipelines, power lines, or railways). By leveraging GIS mapping, the NextGen Platform gives planners full visibility into these networks. It enables them to intelligently group, sequence, and assign tasks along specific linear geographical paths directly from the map, transforming fragmented activities into a seamless route.

How the Concept Works

The Job Bundler engine evaluates unscheduled operations tied to a specific Operations Center and aggregates them based on configurable rules. These rules look for commonalities across various criteria, such as:

  • The plant or facility subject to maintenance.

  • The intervention location (geographic coordinates).

  • The expected execution interval.

  • Required skills or job types.

Once aggregated, the new Bundle inherits combined specifications—such as required team cardinality, overall duration, and necessary skills—either inferred from the individual operations or defined during module configuration. This optimized work package is then dispatched directly to the field technician's mobile device, providing them with clear task sequencing and step-by-step guidance.
