Understand the Scheduling Calendar

Use the Scheduling Calendar to manage and monitor automatic scheduling processes. Verify processing volumes per model and evaluate outcomes to ensure operational efficiency. Maintain oversight of automated workflows and quickly address scheduling errors or gaps.

Access the calendar

To view the scheduling processes:

  1. Navigate to Features > Scheduling OptimizationAutomatic SchedulingCalendar.

  2. Define your view parameters in the header:

    • Start Date: Enter the date from which you want the calendar to begin.

      • This parameter defaults to the current date plus one day.

    • View Type: Select a duration from the dropdown

      • 1, 2, 4, or 8 weeks

      • 1 or 2 months

Search for scheduling data

To filter the calendar for specific models or centers:

  1. Click the slide-out tab on the right side of the screen to open the search form.

  2. Select the Operations Center from the dropdown.

  3. In the Models field, click the magnifier icon to open the "List of Models" window.

  4. Select one or more scheduling models from the table.

  5. Click Search. The Scheduling Calendar table will populate at the bottom of the interface.

Monitor status and details

The calendar uses visual indicators to show the status of each process:

  • Green: Completed

  • Yellow: Pending

  • Red: Error or Canceled

  • 'To expand' symbol: Indicates multiple processes on the same day.

To view quick details, over your mouse over a specific colored cell to see the processing date and the start/end dates of the scheduling period.

Manage scheduling elaborations

To perform management actions, right-click a specific cell or process in the calendar table.

Schedule a New Process

Use this to manually set up a one-time simulation.

  1. In the Scheduling calendar table, right-click the desired cell and select Schedule Processing.

  2. In the Schedule Processing window, enter the following information:

    • Processing date: the date and time when the simulation should run.

    • Period to Process: the date range that the system should schedule for.

  3. Click Plan.

Note: If a process already exists for that day, a confirmation message will appear. Click OK to proceed.

Set Up Automatic Processing

Use this to parameterize recurring automatic scheduling.

  1. Right-click the cell and select Plan Processing.

  2. In the Plan Processing window, enter the following information:

    • Implementation period: the simulation processing date range and time.

    • Processing parameters: define the scheduling date range.

  3. Check Exclude holidays or Exclude days before holidays.

  4. Click Plan.

Delete a task

To delete a single task:

  1. Right-click a pending (not yet executed) cell.

  2. Click Delete Processing.

  3. Click Confirm to continue with the deletion.

Cancel multiple tasks

To cancel multiple tasks:

  1. Right-click a cell.

  2. Select Cancel Processing to stop scheduled processing within a specific time interval.

Review logs

To view logs:

  1. Right-click a cell.

  2. Select Scheduling Log. This opens the "Processing List" table with summary data for that specific task.

Review order totals

To view order totals:

  1. Right-click a cell

  2. Select Scheduling Counts. This opens a table that shows totals for orders processed, dispatched, scheduled, or rejected.

Adjust the View

If a cell contains multiple processes (marked by the expansion icon):

  1. Right-click the cell.

  2. Click Expand to see all individual processes for that day.

  3. Click Collapse to return to the minimized daily view.
