Resource position in real-time | OverIT Knowledge Hub

Track resources in real-time and quickly schedule work orders (WOs) with the nearest available resource. At regular intervals, your mobile device's location is uploaded to a DynamoDB table via dedicated APIs. Then a background operation retrieves and updates the positions in the FSM database.

Access timed GPS positions in these resource path visualization screens:

GPS Position History: Displays merged historical and timed positions for a resource within a configurable time window.

Access GPS position history

To find the historical positions of a resource over a given timeframe, navigate to Configuration > Core > Cartography > GPS Position History.

Access GPS position on the daily plan

To see the last position received from the mobile device on the map:

On the Daily Plan, go to the Daily View.
Open a resource for which to view a position.
On the resource, navigate to Menu > Cartography > Map detail > GPS Positions.
