Manage Fixed Teams

Group resources together so they can be treated as a single unit by the scheduling engine, rather than individual technicians.

A fixed team acts as a logical container linked to a specific Operations Center. Creating a permanent team enforces skill aggregation, meaning the team mathematically inherits the combined skills, skill levels, and cardinality of its individual members. It also establishes travel parameters (such as traveling via standard vehicle or walking) that dictate how the routing algorithm calculates travel times.

The system allows you to manage two types of fixed teams:

  • Nominal teams: Members are the same every day and are defined by name in the master data.

  • Generic teams: Members change on a daily basis; only the team itself is defined, while team members are added day by day.
