NextGen FSM

Manage Dynamic Teams

If a complex work order requires a highly specific mix of distinct skills, NextGen FSM can dynamically build temporary teams on the fly based on the exact mathematical requirements of the day's work. This prevents wasting senior technicians' skills on basic tasks and avoids forcing permanent 3-person teams onto 2-person jobs.

The scheduling engine automatically forms teams from a predefined set of resources. The algorithm evaluates potential groupings by repeating three macro-phases: Identification, Evaluation, and Verification. It evaluates combinations against a cost function, penalizing groupings that result in "wasted skills" or excessive travel distance. For example, if the system consistently groups master electricians with junior techs for basic jobs, an admin can adjust multiplication factors to penalize over-qualification more heavily.
