The Scheduling Log is a diagnostic interface that records the background operations of the system's scheduling models, including virtual planning and real-time re-calibrations. By providing visibility into processing statuses and errors, it allows administrators to verify that automated scheduling tasks have finished correctly or troubleshoot why a specific optimization failed. This ensures that the dispatching logic remains reliable and that any technical interruptions are identified and resolved before they impact field operations.
Access the Scheduling Log
To view the history of scheduling processes, navigate through the main system hierarchy.
-
Open the Main Menu.
-
Navigate to Features > Scheduling Optimization.
-
Select Automatic Scheduling.
-
Click on Scheduling Log to open the main log list.
Search and Filter Logs
Use the search criteria at the top of the window to find specific processing events.
-
Define the Processing Type: Select Scheduling (Virtual Plan), Optimization (Daily Plan), or Re-calibration/Update (Real-time) from the dropdown.
-
Filter by Status: Choose a Processing Status, such as "Processing Completed with errors" or "Processing Interrupted," to find failed tasks.
-
Set the Date Range: Enter the Start and End Processing Dates to narrow down the timeframe.
-
Optional Filtering: Check the Exclude interruption for time slot unavailability box if you want to ignore logs where the only issue was lack of resources.
-
Keyword Search: Enter text into the Description field if searching for a specific simulation name.
-
Execute Search: Click the Search button (typically represented by a magnifying glass or "Search" text) to refresh the results table.
View Processing Details
Once you have identified a log entry, you can drill down into the specific steps performed by the system.
-
Locate the desired log in the Processing List table at the bottom of the screen.
-
Click on the row of the specific log entry you wish to investigate.
-
Review the Processing Details window that opens to see the sequential steps of the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) processing.
For a deep dive into what each step means, refer to the VRP Scheduling Process documentation.
