Daily Engagement Management

The daily engagement feature allows you to define constraints on how much work operational resources can perform for specific types of tasks. By grouping work orders and setting limits based on count, time, or percentage, you can ensure a balanced distribution of activities across your workforce and prevent specific task types from monopolizing daily schedules.

Create and manage work order groups

Before applying engagement rules, you must group specific work order (WO) types together to categorize the activities you want to limit.

Create a new work order group

  1. Navigate to MAIN MENU > CONFIGURATION > SCHEDULING OPTIMIZATION > DAY OCCUPATION.

  2. Click the Operations submenu and select WO Groups.

  3. Click NEW WO GROUP in the Operations submenu.

  4. Enter a Description (mandatory) and optional Sorting order.

  5. Select the Visible checkbox if the group should be active.

  6. Click INSERT to create the group.

Associate work order types with a group

  1. Navigate to MAIN MENU > CONFIGURATION > SCHEDULING OPTIMIZATION > DAY OCCUPATION > WO Groups.

  2. Click SEARCH to view the list of groups.

  3. Click the EDIT button (Associate WO Types icon) next to the desired group.

  4. Drag rows from the Non-associated WO Types table on the left to the Associated WO Types table on the right.

  5. Click SAVE.

Define daily engagement rules

These rules determine the maximum capacity (absolute number, minutes, or percentage) a resource or team can spend on a specific work order group.

  1. Navigate to MAIN MENU > CONFIGURATION > SCHEDULING OPTIMIZATION > DAY OCCUPATION.

  2. Click the Operations submenu and select Daily Engagement/Occupation Rules.

  4. Enter a Description and select the relevant Operations Center.

  5. Choose a WO Group from the dropdown menu.

  6. Select the Type (Absolute, Time, or Percentage) and enter the limit in the Value field.

  7. Click SAVE.

  2. Select a mandatory Operations Center and click SEARCH.

  3. Click on the row of the rule you wish to modify.

  4. Update the fields such as Value, Sorting, or Active status.

  5. Click SAVE.
