Validate skill division in activities

After the roles are correctly assigned to team members, the activity can be validated and dispatched. This validation checks that the number of technicians with a specific role is within the minimum and maximum number indicated in the skill division.

Prerequisite

Before you start:

Validate automatically

When scheduled activities are validated, the system checks that cardinality constraints, the minimum and maximum number of resources for each active role, are met:

  • If all constraints are met, the validation process is complete and activities are dispatched to the technicians.

  • If the constraints aren’t met, the validation process stops and gives an alert.

Validate manually

To check an activity’s validation manually:

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Core > Work Order Management > Activity.

  2. In the Activity list, click an activity.

  3. Select Roles.

  4. In the Roles panel, check the role of each resource in the activity execution:

    • When the user looks for a resource or role, FSM verifies the role is associated with the resource in the Skill, Qualifications and Roles feature.

  5. Either:

    • If the resource can perform the role, the information is saved.

    • If a resource cannot exercise the role, the system gives an alert.
