Manage your resources’s roles, so you only dispatch teams that meet your requirements.
Prerequisites
Before you start, ensure you have a resource. See Create a resource.
Follow the UI path
All following instructions start from this system path:
Configuration > Core > Skill Management > Roles
Access roles
In the Roles table, examine roles and the related constraints, such as:

Id: A number that identifies the role.

Code: The role’s internal identifier code.

Description: Text that briefly describes the role.

Active: An indicator of whether the role is active.

This should be checked during activity validation.

Sorting: An indicator of the sorting criterion and how roles are displayed.
-
Minimum number: The least amount of resources with a role needed to validate the activity and dispatch.

Maximum number: The most resources with a role needed to validate the activity and dispatch.
Define a new role
To add new roles:

At the bottom of the Roles page, click + New role.

In the Role window, enter mandatory and optional information:

Mandatory information:

Code: The role’s internal identifier code.

Description: Text that briefly describes the role.

Optional information:

Active: Whether the role is active.

Since the default value is “Not active”, it should be checked during activity validation or disabled.

Sorting: The sorting criterion of how roles are displayed.
-
Minimum number: The least amount of resources with a role needed to validate the activity and dispatch.

Maximum number: The most resources with a role needed to validate the activity and dispatch.

Click Save.
Assign roles to schedule resources
After you configure your roles, resources can use them to execute activities.

Navigate to Features > Core > Resource Management > Resources.

On the right, in the Filters panel, enter desired parameters.

Click Search.

In the Scheduling resources list, next to a resource, click the Three dot menu.

Select Skill, qualifications and roles.

Click the Roles tab.

Drag roles that you want to assign to the user from the Available roles list to the Associated roles list.

Click the Close page icon.
