Configure Qualifications

Qualifications are an additional, optional element. Add qualifications if a certificate or license is necessary to perform a skill. For example, to maneuver a crane, a resource needs a valid driving license and a special vehicle driver certificate.

Create a qualification

To create a qualification:

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Core > Skill Management > Qualifications.

  2. Click New Qualification.

  3. Enter the following information:

    • Description: the qualification’s description.

    • Code: the qualification’s internal code.

    • Order: the order in which the system will auto-assign the qualification to a resource for scheduling purposes.

    • Active: whether the qualification is active

    • Generic: whether this is a generic qualification.

  4. Click Insert.

Edit a qualification

To edit a qualification:

  1. Click the three dots menu for a qualification.

  2. Click edit.

  3. Edit the qualification information as needed.

  4. Click Save.

Associate qualifications with resources

Access qualifications

  1. Navigate to Features > Core > Resource Management > Resources.

  2. Click Skill, Qualifications and Roles.

  3. Click the three dots menu for a resource.

  4. Click Assign Skill/Qualification.

  5. On the right of the Qualifications table, click the New Qualification icon.

  6. In the dropdown box, enter a new qualification.

  7. Enter a start date and an end date.

  8. Click Save.

Assign a qualification to a skill

  1. At the bottom of the Qualification table, click Skill Types.

  2. Select a skill in the Skill Types list.

  3. Click the three dots menu for the skill.

  4. Click Change association skill qualification.

  5. Drag a skill from the Available column to the Associate column.

  6. Click Save.
