Create measurements

Audience: Administrators, dispatchers

Measurements are the actual logged data points of a specific measuring element. Add new measurements to the system through the parent technical object or a specific measuring element.

Prerequisites

Before you start:

• Ensure the parent element exists. 

  • See Create technical objects.

• Directly add data points for a specific measuring element.

  • See Create measuring elements.

Follow the UI path

All following instructions start from this system path:

Feature > Core > Asset Management 

Add a new measurement from a measuring element

To record a new measurement that relates to a specific measuring element:

1. In the left navigation panel, click Measuring Elements.

2. In the Measuring elements list, next to an element, click the Three dots menu.

3. Select Measurements.

4. Click the + New button.

5. In the Edit measure window, in the Measure section, edit as needed.

6. Click Save.

Add a new measurement from a technical object

To record a new measurement that relates to a specific technical object:

1. In the left navigation panel, click Technical Object Search.

2. In the Filters panel, enter at least one parameter for your target asset.

3. Click Search.

4. In the Search technical object list, next to an object, click the Three dots menu.

5. Select Display.

6. On the Facility detail page, click the Measuring elements tab.

7. In the Measuring elements list, next to the measuring element, click the Three dots menu.

8. Select Measurements.

9. In the Measurements page, click the + New button.

10. In the Edit measure window, in the Measure section, edit as needed.

11. Click Save.
