Understand more actions for technical objects

Audience: Administrators, managers, and dispatchers

View technical objects, see their structure, turn them into templates, associate them with operations centers, change their status, and associate them with other data.

Prerequisites

Before you start:

• Ensure you have the necessary permissions to edit facility data.

• Ensure there is an existing facility type. See Manage facility types | Add a new facility type.

• To add a new technical object, see Create technical objects.

Follow the UI path

The instructions start from this system path:

1. Navigate to Features > Core > Asset Management > Technical Object Search.

2. In the Filters panel, fill in one or more of the search fields.

3. Click Search.

4. In the Search technical object list, next to a technical object, click the Three dots menu.

There are many options to view and configure advanced navigation and management for technical objects:

• Display: View and edit facility information.

• Show structure: Opens the full visual tree of the asset.

• View upper level / view lower level: Quickly jump one step up to the parent or one step down to child components.

• Show whole branch: Displays every related element from the root down to the smallest component.

• Associate operations centers: Link the asset to a specific regional operational center (OC).

• Massive status change: Change the statuses of selected facilities in an OC.

• Generate from massive template: Create a WO from a template.

• Generate notification: Immediately trigger a maintenance request linked to the selected asset.

• Load timerange configuration: The target dates for a technical object.

• Facility archive: View the complete historical log of every change made to the asset’s master data.
