Define Work Order (WO) types to ensure every work request is correctly categorized and processed. Specifying three key characteristics: the Request Type, the Service Type, and the Technical Object Type.
Prepare required components
Before you create a WO type, ensure that the following components already exist. If they don't, you need to create and define them.
-
Request type: Define the categories of demand (for example, ordinary maintenance, emergency, customer requests).
-
Service type: Define the activities to perform (for example, inspection, cleaning, or new activation).
-
Technical Object type: Define the categories of assets where work takes place.
-
See Create a Technical Object Type.
-
Create a WO type
After the components are available, you combine them to define a unique WO type.
