Synchronize redline GIS data

Update asset maps in real time to ensure that GIS data remains accurate and synchronized between the field and the back office. Get precise geographic data for operational safety and easily validate infrastructure updates.

Configure automatic download settings

To enable or disable automatic downloads of redlined GIS information:

  1. Navigate to either:

    • Mobile system settings

    • Company properties menu

  2. Locate the property company.fsm.mobile.automaticRedliningDownload.

  3. Enter a value:

    • true: Enable the automatic download popup during the first daily synchronization.

    • false: Disable the popup and prevent automatic redlining downloads.

  4. Click Save.

Manage offline package retention

To select how many days you retain automatically downloaded packages:

  1. Navigate to the Company Properties menu.

  2. Locate the property company.fsm.mobile.offlineGis.packageRetentionDays.

  3. To define how many days the packages stay on the device, enter a number.

  4. Select a deletion type:

    • Automatic: Remove only auto-downloaded packages after the configured retention period.

    • Manual: Allow users to swipe left on a package in the mobile app to delete it immediately.

  5. Click Save.

Define manual download limits

To set a limit for downloads:

  1. Navigate to the mobile system settings.

  2. Enter the property values in the table below.

  3. Click Save.

Enable redlining by work order type

To ensure mobile users receive the sync prompt for these specific work orders (WOs):

  1. Navigate to the work order type configuration screen.

  2. Select the specific work order type you wish to modify.

  3. To enable this feature for the chosen type, toggle Automatic redlining package generation.

  4. Click Save.

Download redlining data on mobile

To select the type of synchronization for redlining:

  1. On the mobile device, perform the first synchronization of the day.

  2. In the daily prompt, select one of the following buttons:

    • Sync redlining (automatic): Starts a background download of data for your assigned work order locations.

    • Do it manually: Opens the map screen for custom area selection.

    • Dismiss: Closes the prompt without downloading.

Select offline map areas manually

To use the selection tool to define an area within an offline map:

  1. In the mobile application, navigate to the map screen.

  2. Tap the Offline maps model.

  3. In the desired layer, click the Add sub-layer [+] icon.

  4. To define your area, drag the rectangular selection tool on the map.

  5. In the toolbar, click an action:

    • Undo.

    • Redo.

    • Cancel.

  6. Click Complete.

  7. In the text field, enter a name for the selection.

  8. Click Save.
