Use real-time traffic data to schedule urgent work orders immediately without a dispatcher.
Process phases
There are three sequential phases:
-
Recalibrate: To establish a real-time baseline, the system evaluates technicians’ current positions and task statuses.
-
Assignment: The system identifies urgent activities and assigns the task to the eligible technician who can arrive fastest.
-
Reprocessing: To maximize productivity, after the emergency is scheduled, the system fills the remainder of the technician's day with non-urgent tasks.
See Understand how emergency response with real traffic works
Parameter hierarchy
You can configure task parameters at two levels:
-
Model Level: Values set here take priority. See Model
-
Company Level: The system uses these default values if no Model Level value exists.
Limitations
The emergency response workflow doesn’t currently support these NextGen FSM features:
-
Legacy unavailabilities (without defined addresses)
-
Multistage constraints and complex dependencies
-
Bundles or multi-day activities
-
Project module tasks
-
Crew shell management
-
Geographic and time constraints like appointment slots
-
Saturation and occupation rules
