Create a Skill

Manage technical abilities and requirements assigned to resources.

Add a skill

  1. Navigate to Configuration> Core > Skill Management > Skills.

  2. Click Add Skill.

  3. Enter the following information:

    1. Code: the skill’s internal code.

    2. Description: the skill’s description

    3. Team Leader Level: the team leader’s level at the Master Data level assigned to the resource.

    4. Order: The skill’s order in the automatic scheduling logic.

    5. Multiple: Whether to allow multiple secondary skills to be assigned to this primary skill.

      1. Enable this option if you want to add secondary skills to this skill.

    6. Visible - whether to activate the skill.

  4. Click Save.

Add skills to a multiple skill 

When a resource has primary skills assigned to them, all of the secondary skills in the system are automatically included. To add multiple secondary skills to a skill:

  1. Click the three dots menu for a desired skill.

  2. Click Associate Skill.

  3. Drag and drop the skill from the Available column to the Associate column.

  4. Click Save.

Set skill definition

Define the skills required for an intervention.

  1. Click the three dots menu for a desired skill.

  2. Click Change association skill qualification.

  3. Drag and drop the skills from the Available column to the Associate column.

  4. Click Save.

This lets the system know how many technicians are needed to comply with the skills required for a WO.
