Audience: Dispatchers, administrators
Resources can be assigned to scheduling areas that belong to their regular operations center. Define the areas where a resource is eligible to perform work orders (WO). Ensure that WOs are only assigned to resources authorized for those territories.
Prerequisite
Before you start, make sure you:

Configure your operations center. See Configure an Operations Center.

Create a Scheduling Area. See Create a Scheduling Area.

Create resources or teams to associate with the scheduling area. See Create a Resource.

Assign a resource to a scheduling area
To assign individual resources to a scheduling area and automatically schedule their activities:

In the Filters panel on the Resources page, select the operations center and desired parameters.

Click Search.

In the Scheduling resources list, find the desired resource.

Click the Three dots menu > Associate Scheduling Area.

In the Scheduling area list, select the desired area.

Click Save.
Note: A resource can only be assigned to one scheduling area at a time.
Assign teams to a scheduling area
To assign a team to a scheduling area, so their activities can be scheduled automatically:

Navigate to Features > Core > Resource Management > Teams.

In the Search team tab, select the operations center and desired parameters.

Click Search.

In the Teams list, find the team.

On the right side of the row, click the Grid icon.

In the Scheduling area list, select the team to associate with the required area.

Click Save.
Note: A team can only be assigned to one scheduling area.
