Configure Scheduling Areas

A Scheduling Area is a territorial subdivision of an Operations Center. Scheduling Areas allow Operations Centers to be subdivided into multiple regions, so that different Resources can be associated with a specific region under the domain of that Operations Center.

Multiple Scheduling Areas can be associated with one Operations Center (this is normally the case). A Scheduling Area can only be associated with one Operations Center. In order to create a Scheduling Area, the associated Operations Center must already exist.

Typically, Scheduling Areas are configured when the FSM is initially set up and are not modified thereafter. However, it’s possible to add Scheduling Areas later.

While not mandatory, creating Scheduling Areas within an Operations Center enables the automatic scheduling of resources within the configured Scheduling Areas.
