Through the server and on mobile, users can easily locate and validate linear asset facilities within the system. Facilities often refer to components or single elements of a technical object.

To make sure linear assets are configured, see Configure linear assets.

If you want a new facility type to be a linear asset, check the linear asset flag when you configure the type.
Visualize linear assets on desktop
Audience: Dispatchers
On the daily plan map, activities associated with linear assets are visually represented by their starting location, just like standard point assets.
When zooming in on a linear asset (such as a railway segment or pipeline), the map displays visual pins for both the start point and the designated entry point.
Visualize linear assets on mobile
Audience: Field technicians
Currently, the system only transmits the starting point coordinates to the mobile application:

Field technicians only see a pin that marks the intervention's start point on their mobile map.

The end point and the linear path aren't displayed on their device.
Understand current display limits
Right now, in both the server and mobile app, the standard system doesn't draw the physical path of the linear asset, nor include the exit point into the visual route:

Straight-Line ("As the crow flies") view: The lines that connect sequential tasks only point to the start point of the linear asset.

Day details (Road graph) view: The street-level route drawn on the map only navigates to the start point of the linear asset.
