Understand how to monitor Work Order debriefs

Review, edit, and validate field interventions before sending them to external systems. Ensure that the data collected, both technical and labor-related, is accurate and complete.

Understanding the validation components

A single intervention is broken down into specific sub-components for validation. An intervention is only considered "fully validated" when all required components are approved.

  • Technical validation: Approval of outcomes, time frames, readings, asset actions, attachments, and notes.

  • Manpower validation: Approval of labor time, including intervention time ranges and the total effort registered by resources.

  • Optional components: The system can also be configured to require validation for materials used and vehicle schedules.

See Configure Intervention Groups.

Validation status and visual indicators

To summarize progress, the system uses a color-coded status in the debriefing monitor and daily plan:

Color

Status

Meaning

Red

To Validate

The intervention is ready for server-side or office review.

Black

To Validate Mobile

The field operator must perform an initial validation on their device.

Light Blue

Automatically Validated

The system automatically approved the data.

Green

Manually Validated

An office user explicitly approved the data.

Perform manual validation

If they want to handle the validation directly, dispatchers and planners can explicitly validate data from the search results table.

See Monitor Work Order debriefs.

Validation rules and exceptions

To configure the system’s validation rules that manage exceptions:

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Core > Work Order Management > Accounting > Validation Rules.

  2. Group interventions into:

    • WO type.

    • Outcome causal.

    • Resource type.

  3. Set a class’s initial status:

    • Manual.

    • Automatic.

    • Manual Pda.

  4. Configure warnings for inconsistent data:

    • Warning Only: The user sees a message but can bypass it.

    • Action Blockage: The user cannot validate until the data is corrected.
