The scheduling engine needs to know when it is allowed to spin up dynamic teams. By binding temporal data to a Formation, you create a master on/off switch for the algorithm. For example, applying a Monday-Friday shift to a "Heavy Maintenance Crew" template ensures the engine ignores this formation entirely during weekend scheduling runs.

Associate a default calendar
To define the Default Calendars associated with a Formation:

At the top of the Calendar Type Definition window, select the Operations Center (mandatory).

Set a Date to start displaying the default calendars and choose a View Type (e.g., 4 Weeks).

Click Search.

Move your mouse over a specific calendar cell or shift to view details, such as the departure address, time, and potential overtime.
