Without strict logical rules, the system might group two apprentices together who lack the certification to close a work order, or assign one person to act as both the worker and the safety inspector. To prevent this, you can embed strict logical constraints (Expressions and Divisions) into the Formation template that the engine must satisfy during the Matching phase.

Assign skills and divisions to a formation
After creating a Formation, use the Skill Management tab to define rules:
-
Click the Skills header button to force the engine to select a pool of resources whose combined skills perfectly cover the work order's requested skills.
-
Select skills from the 'Available Skills' table, move them to 'Selected Skills', and click to confirm.
-
Click the Skill Divisions header button to hard-code separation rules. For example, specifying that "Confined Space Worker" and "Safety Spotter" must be provided by two different resources.
-
Click Skill Configurations to add configuration sets that must be matched by the team.
-
In the Formation Composition tab, indicate if specific resources are 'Fixed' (must be included) or 'Potential' (can be built without them).
