Create a Vehicle

Add a vehicle to the system for resources to use. After a vehicle is created, it can be associated with resources.

Prerequisites

Before you can create a specific vehicle, you must have created at least one vehicle type. See Create a Vehicle Type.

Follow the UI path

All instructions start on this system path:

Features > Core > Resource management > Vehicles

Create a new vehicle

To create a profile that can be used for a specific type of vehicle:

  1. At the bottom of the Vehicles page, click the + New vehicle button.

  2. In the Insert vehicles window, enter:

    • Order: The order this vehicle will appear in

    • Area: A pool of OCs related to a specific territory/zone

    • Operations center: An organizational division

    • Code: An alphanumeric code to identify the vehicle

    • Description: A description of the vehicle

    • Associated warehouse: The default warehouse associated with the vehicle

    • Vehicle type: A vehicle type within NextGen FSM.

    • Validity period: When the vehicle is considered valid:

      • Begin

      • End

  3. Click Insert.
