Associate a Skill with an Activity

Add a skillset that field technicians must possess to perform a task so that the scheduling engine can automatically filter for qualified resources. Ensure that the right expertise is matched to the specific demands of every intervention.

Search for skills

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Core > Work Order Management > Activity.

  2. Click the Associate Skill Configuration icon.

  3. Search for a list of skills associated with an activity by the following criteria:

    1. Configuration Skill: A field technician skill.

    2. Team Cardinality: The number of resources on a team that requires the skillset.

    3. Operations Center: The operations center (OC) for the resources.

  4. Click Search.

Configure skills

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Core > Work Order Management > Activity.

  2. Locate an activity in the Activity List.

  3. Click the Associate Skill Configuration icon.

  4. Enter the following information:

    1. Configuration Skill: A field technician skill.

    2. Team Cardinality: The number of resources on a team that requires the skillset.

    3. Operations Center: The operations center (OC) for the resources.

  5. Click Save.
