Add and Edit resources - Resource Forecast

The Resource Forecast feature allows you to simulate available capacity by configuring various types of work shifts.

You can create forecasts based on either:

  • Actual resources and calendars already defined in the system.

  • Simulated resources and calendars for hypothetical scenarios.

A significant advantage of using resource forecasts is their complete independence from actual resource and calendar data. This means any adjustments or edits made within the forecast simulation will not impact the live operational data in your system.

Before you start

Configure a Resource Forecast

  1. In the FSM App, navigate to FEATURES → FORECASTING & CAPACITY PLANNING → RESOURCE FORECAST

  2. Use the filter panel to search for existing forecast records

  3. Clicking the option button related to the Resource Forecast, going on “Detail” option the configuration page will be showed as a calendar view.

Add a fictitious resource

  1. Click on the top-right button “New” of the calendar view

  2. Fill mandatory fields

  3. Optionally, associate a grouping constraint

Add a real resource

  1. Click on the top-right button “Import” of the calendar view

  2. Select one or more resources from real data

  3. Optionally, click “Add skills” to import also skills

  4. Optionally, click “Add work shift” to import also real calendar in the forecast period

Edit an existing resource

  1. Click on option button of an existing resource, and click “Edit”

  2. Edit available fields

  3. Click Save to edit the resource

Associate a skill to an existing resource

  1. Click on option button of an existing resource, and click “Edit skills”

  2. Associate one or more skills using the panel. The system shows all skills already configured in the system.

  3. Click Save to confirm
