Configure modules

Audience: Administrators

Important:

  • Only the System_admin group can access this tab.

  • Access to the module is granted only if the user's group is associated with the module.

Find the module list

To access the list of existing modules: 

  1. Navigate to Control Panel > System > Modules.

    • Note: If the license in use does not permit access to a specific module, that module will be disabled.

  2. To search existing modules, click the Modules tab.

  3. To create a new configuration from already existing modules, click the Add module button.

Understand module properties

Each module is defined by:

Field

Description

Icon

This is editable by the user.

Name

This is the xtype / name of the module.

Tags

This is a list of tags identifying the module defined in the pre-configuration stage with Liquibase scripts.

Map

This dropdown menu allows users to load a map when the module is initiated. The default value is empty.

Opening mode

This determines if multiple modules can be opened at the same time. They can be:

  • Exclusive: Needs to be opened alone

  • Append: Can be added to other modules. 

Language

The configuration requires the selection of a language, a title, and a description in a dedicated combo box.

Notes:

  • Modules are displayed in the user's selected language, provided that a translation exists for that specific language.

  • To ensure the module always has a title and description, the system defaults to the first language listed if a translation is unavailable in the user's language.

Note: There is an error message ff the user does not have access.
