Audience: Dispatchers
To ensure enough equipment is available to resources, the system accounts for all tools in the inventory in real-time. If there aren’t enough tools available for pickup at a warehouse, the system flags the issue before field work begins, so technicians can complete their work on-time.
Prerequisites
Before you start:
-
To confirm that relevant work orders (WOs) have tools linked to them, see Associate tools with work cycles.
-
To configure how your OC’s inventory is distributed, see Configure inventory availability in operations centers.
-
Define tool capacity constraints in the baseline calendars.

Click Search.
-
When you assign a WO to a resource, look for a warning icon next to the resource’s timeline row.

-
-
Access Tools handling:
-
On the top, click the Tools handling icon
-
Click Tools Monitoring rules > Tools handling.
-
-
In the Tools handling window, review:

To ensure tools are available:

Reassign the WO to a resource in a different time slot.
-
Reschedule the job to a subsequent day.
