Audience: Administrators
To track which tools are available in a region on a given day, assign a certain number of tools to specific operations centers (OCs).
Prerequisites
Before you start:

To register generic tools and their classifications in the material inventory, see Classify tool master data.

Verify your specific OC (regional hub) has been created and is active in the system.

Assign tools to an operations center
To define which regional hub owns and houses a generic tool classification:

From Tool management, in the left panel, click Operation center tools.

In the Search tab, enter desired parameters.

Click Search.

In the Operation centers list, click your OC.

In the Associate tools window, drag and drop tools from the Available list into the Selected list.

Click Save.
Configure stock capacity and availability
Important: Unconfigured tools have resource allocation warnings because their default stock quantity is zero.
Once a tool is assigned to an OC, define its daily available quantities on the calendar timeline:

From Tool management, in the left panel, click Tools calendar.

In the Search panel, enter the operations center and desired parameters.

Click Search.

On the Tool availability calendar list, right-click the tool’s cell on the target day.

Click Edit.

In the Tool stock availability window, in the Quantity field, enter how many assets are available at that time.

Click Save.
