Audience: Administrators, dispatchers
Organize how facility types relate to each other. For example, you can put the subtypes of “A company van” and “A central HVAC unit on the roof” under a facility type of “An electrical transformer station on 5th Avenue”.

Follow the UI path
The instructions start from this system path:
Configuration > Core > Asset Management > Facility Type
Create facility type hierarchies
Important: Users can only use authorized child types within the hierarchy.
To create associations between facility types:

In the Filters panel, enter desired parameters.

Click Search.

In the Facility types list, next to the desired type, click the Three dots menu.

Select Facility type hierarchy.

To add facility types to the hierarchy, in the Facility type hierarchy page, drag types from the Not associated facility types list to the Associated facility types list

Click Save.
