Create facility statuses

Audience: Administrators, dispatchers

To easily see operations, filter, filter, track, and manage processes, define a facility’s status. Facility statuses help represent the current condition and lifecycle state of assets across NextGen FSM. With clear status updates, you can monitor critical equipment, reduce downtime, and improve system reliability.

Prerequisite

Before you start, make sure you have added facility types.

Follow the UI path

All following instructions start from this system path:

Configuration > Core > Asset Management > Facility status

Search technical object status

To find the status of a facility:

1. In the Search tab, enter:

   • Code.

   • Description.

   • Status type: 

     • Active facility.

     • Cancelled facility.

     • Inactive facility.

   • Technical object type.

   • Active.

2. Click Search.

Create a new facility status

To create a status and assign it to a facility type:

1. Click the + New button.

2. Enter:

   • Description: The technical object’s status description.

   • Code: The technical object’s status code.

   • Status type: Choose the status type from the drop-down menu:

     • Active facility.

     • Cancelled facility.

     • Inactive facility.

   • Order: The status’s position in the dropdown menu.

   • Technical object type: Categorize the status and make it available only for assets belonging to the corresponding technical object type.

     • See Manage facility types.

   • Color: A color that represents the facility status.

3. Click the Active checkbox.

4. Click Save.

Edit facility status

To change a facility’s status:

1. In the Results list, click a row.

2. In the Technical object status window, edit parameters as needed.

3. Click Save.
