Create asset groups

Audience: Administrators, dispatchers

Groups organize assets together in a quick and flexible way. They help identify, filter, and manage complex sets of equipment within large infrastructures. Groups also help users share documentation or specific operational views. You can:

  • Temporarily bundle assets for maintenance rounds, inspections, or shared documentation views.

  • Apply colors and visual layers to dispatcher or technician maps, so users can filter and view clusters of related equipment on the map.

Example of an asset group

To manage the cooling infrastructure of a corporate campus, you group related equipment together, so technicians can filter and view it on the map at the same time. Here’s a possible setup:

  • Operations center: Milan North Campus

  • Code: HVAC-BLDG-A

  • Description: Chiller units and HVAC systems for building A

  • Order: 1

  • Color: Blue (Hex: #0000FF)

  • Active: Yes
