In the FSM daily plan, set up real-time notifications or visual cues for specific work order (WO) statuses or conditions. Quickly identify and manage specific WOs based on predefined criteria and thresholds.
Prerequisites
To configure the WO alert monitor, you must:

Have access to the WO alert interface in the FSM Desktop Configuration section.

Understand how to create and manage WO filters. See Search work orders.
Search WO alerts
To access an operations center’s list of WO alerts:

Navigate to Configuration > Core > Daily and Multi-Day Plan > WO Alert.

In the search box to the right, select the operations center from the drop-down.

Click Search.
Create WO alert
-
Click New WO Alert.
-
In the WO Alert pop-up window, enter:
-
Operations Center: Select which operations center the alert applies to.
-
WO Filter (required): Define the set of WOs that trigger the alert.

Description: Describe the WO alert that appears in the Daily Plan panel.

Assignment Type (required): Select the type of assignment for this alert:
-
Order to be scheduled.
-
Scheduled.
-
Finalized.
-
To be finalized tomorrow.
-
-
Visible: To always show this alert in the Daily Plan panel, check this box.
-
The alert shows even if it doesn’t match the filters.
-
-
Active: To activate the alert in the daily plan, check this box.
-
If the box is unchecked, the alert isn’t active.
-

Sorting: To determine the order of alerts in the Daily Plan panel, enter a number.

Click Insert.
Note: After you configure WO alerts, they automatically apply to the daily plan in FSM.
Define a Threshold for a WO Alert

On the WO Alert main page, search WO alerts.

Next to the alert, click the Three dots menu > Set Threshold.

In the pop-up window:

Define the numerical value for the threshold.

Choose the alert’s color in the Daily Plan panel when it reaches the threshold.

Click X.
Search WO Filters
To find WO filters that trigger an alert based on certain criteria:

On the main WO Alert page, click the WO Filters button.

In the search box in the right, sort WO filters by:
-
Code: The WO’s unique identifier.
-
Description: The WO filter’s description.
-
Visible: The WO filter’s visibility.
-

Click Search.
Create a WO Alerts Filter
To access a new filter in the WO Filters interface:

Navigate to Configuration > Scheduling Optimization > WO Filters.

Click New WO Filter.
-
In the WO Filter Definition interface, enter:

Code: A unique identifier for the WO filter.
-
Description (required): The WO filter’s description.
-
Visible: Check this box if the WO filter should always be displayed.

Click Insert.
Note: After you configure WO filters, they automatically apply to the daily plan in FSM.
Create a filter clause
To create filter clauses that easily sort WO alert themes:

In the WO Filter Definition interface, click Add Clause.

In the Clause Filter window, select a WO filter parameter.

Under the Expression heading, select an operator from the Operator drop-down menu.
-
Operators vary based on the parameter type.

Complete any further fields.

Click:

Ok: To save.
-
Close: To exit without a save.

Note: For WOs to be part of the WO list defined by the filter, they must comply with all set filter clauses.
Edit a WO Filter
To optimize the accuracy and relevance of your alerts, adjust filter criteria:

On the WO Alert page, click the WO Filters button.

In the WO filters list, next to the filter you want to edit, click the Three dots menu > Edit.

In the WO filter definition interface, edit filter information.

Click Edit.
