Configure daily plan themes

Configure color themes to differentiate activities on the Daily Plan visually. Identify, prioritize, and take action on Work Orders (WOs) based on status, type, or custom filtering criteria.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Daily Plan in FSM.

  • Permissions to use the Configure Monitor option.

Access and enable themes

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Core > Daily and Multi-day Plan

  2. In the top right corner, click the Three dots menu.

  3. Select Configure Monitor and click the Themes tab.

  4. Toggle the Enable switch to On.

Note: If themes are disabled:

  • Theme settings don’t apply to the daily plan. 

  • Scheduling details can’t be edited by the theme's filter criteria.

Create a new theme

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Core > Daily and Multi-day Plan > WO Themes.

  2. At the bottom of the interface, click New WO Theme

    • The WO Theme pop-up window will appear.

  3. In the WO theme pop-up window, enter:

    • User Type (required): Specify the user type.

    • WO Filter (required): Specify the WO filter that applies to the theme.

    • Description: Describe the theme.

    • Color: Specify the theme’s HTML color. See Color Chart.

    • Sorting: Specify the system’s theme order. 

      • Enter a number that is a multiple of 10.

    • Active: Indicate if the theme is active.

  4. To customize theme columns, click Possible Uses

  5. In the pop-up window under Description, click checkboxes to choose when the theme is active:

    • Schedulable activities: The theme is active in scheduleable activities in the Daily Plan GANTT chart.

    • WO activity set: The theme is active in specific activities and highlights them in Search WO.

    • Advanced highlighting: The theme is visible in the Advanced filters section of the daily plan visualization configuration.

    • WO monitor: The theme is active in the Notification and WO monitor.

  6. Click Save.

Edit a theme

  1. Click WO Themes.

  2. Next to the theme you want to edit, click the Three dots menu > Edit.

  3. In the WO Theme pop-up window, edit the theme.

  4. Click Save.

Create a WO Themes Filter

  1. On the main WO Themes page, click WO Filters.

  2. In the WO Filters List, click New WO Filter

  3. In the WO Filter Definition interface, enter:

    • Code: The filter's name.

    • Description (required): The filter's description.

    • Visible: Indicate if the filter is visible and usable

  4. Click Insert.

Create a filter clause

To easily sort WO themes, create a filter clause for the WO theme filter:

  1. In the WO filter definition interface, click Add Clause

  2. In the Clause Filter window, select a WO filter parameter from the drop-down menu.

  3. In the Expression heading, click the Operator drop-down menu.

  4. Select an operator that varies based on the parameter type. 

  5. Complete any further fields.

  6. Click Save.

To exit without saving, click Close.

Note: To be included in a list, WOs must comply with all set filter clauses in that WO list.

Edit a WO Filter

  1. In the WO Filters List, click the Three dots menu next to an existing filter. 

  2. In the WO Filter Definition interface, edit filter information.

  3. Click Edit.
