The Job Bundler allows dispatchers to group individual Work Order (WO) operations into a single, unified Bundle. While the system can generate these automatically based on predefined rules, you also have the flexibility to create them manually. This task covers how to hand-pick operations and consolidate them using the Schedulable Activities list, the Clipboard, or the Daily Plan Map.
Manually creating a bundle, you bypass automated processes and create a new entity ready to be assigned to a field team or scheduled on the Daily Plan as a single work package.
Prerequisites
-
Before you begin, ensure that all WO operations you intend to bundle belong to the same Operations Center.
-
Additionally, be aware that the system will automatically block the inclusion of certain operations for technical and functional reasons. You cannot bundle operations if they:
-
Are classified as "Work orders by order".
-
Are already linked by other system rules (e.g., simultaneous scheduling, suspensions, or blocks).
-
Have pending actions (such as a requested suspension or cancellation that is not yet completed).
-
Have an appointment scheduled in the past.
-
Belong to a Multistage Group.
-
Have associated Permits.
-
Manually create a bundle
Depending on your preferred workflow, you can initiate the manual bundling process using any of the three methods below. Once initiated, the steps to finalize the bundle are identical.
Option 1: From Schedulable Activities
-
Navigate to the Features > Core > Daily and Multi-day Plan > Daily Plan and open the Schedulable Activities tab.
-
Perform a search to load your available operations.
-
Click on the specific WO operations you wish to aggregate.
-
Click the three-dot menu icon located next to the Activities list.
-
Select Create Bundle.
Option 2: From the Clipboard
-
Navigate to the Features > Core > Daily and Multi-day Plan > Daily Plan and open the Schedulable Activities tab.
-
Select the desired WO operations, click the three-dot menu icon located next to the Activities list and click Copy activities on clipboard
-
Open the Clipboard tab.
-
Click the Create Bundle button.
Option 3: From the Daily Plan Map
-
Open the Features > Core > Daily and Multi-day Plan > Daily Plan and navigate to the Map view, using the map icon available at the top of daily plan navigation bar.
-
Execute a search for schedulable operations and ensure the Schedulable activities layer is activated in the map checking it in the layer menu icon.
-
Use the map's geographic selection tools (e.g., polygon or radius select) to highlight the operations you want to group.
-
Click the three-dot menu icon in the upper-left corner of the map.
-
Select Create Bundle from Selection.
Finalizing Your Bundle
Regardless of the method you used to select your operations, the system will now prompt you to configure the new bundle's details:
-
Name (Mandatory): Enter a clear, identifiable name for the bundle.
-
Bundling Rule (Optional): Select a specific rule to dictate the sequence of the operations within the bundle.
Note: If a default bundling rule is configured in your system, this field will be pre-filled, though you can change it. If you select a rule based on 'Topological ordering', the system will prompt you to enter additional information, such as initial coordinates).
-
Click Confirm to generate the bundle. A confirmation screen will display the new Bundle's ID.
-
Click OK. The system will automatically open the Schedulable Bundles view in the lateral panel, with your newly created bundle conveniently highlighted in orange.
