Automatically create a bundle

The Bundling Rules registry serves as the control center for configuring how Work Order (WO) operations are grouped into optimized work packages. This guide explains how to find specific rules using advanced search filters and how to execute those rules to generate bundles—either manually on demand or automatically via a scheduled system task.

By successfully searching for and processing your bundling rules, you actively translate your configuration strategies into tangible Work Order bundles. Whether triggered manually for immediate needs or scheduled automatically for daily optimization, this process directly readies your work for field dispatch.

Prerequisites

  • You must have configuration access to the Job Bundler module.

  • At least one active Bundling Rule must be created in the system.

Process Bundling Rules Manually

Go to Job Bundler > Configuration > Bundling Rules and open the side panel Filters within the Bundling Rules to populate the list.

If a rule is active and has the Manual Execution flag enabled, you can trigger it directly from the interface to generate bundles immediately, in different ways:

  1. Process a Single Rule from the List: Locate the desired rule in the Bundling Rules table. Click the three-dot menu next to the rule and select Process.

  2. Process a Rule from the Detail View: Open the detailed configuration window of a rule, and click the Process button.

  3. Process Multiple Rules Simultaneously: To run a batch of rules at once, check the selection boxes next to the target rules in the results table. Click the Process Selected Bundling Rules button located in the main header. The system will process the selected active rules in order of their assigned Priority.

Process Bundling Rules Automatically

For continuous, hands-off aggregation, system administrators can schedule the automatic execution of bundling rules.

  1. Navigate to Technical Settings > Queue Processing.

  2. Locate and configure the Automatic bundling task. You can schedule this task to run at specific intervals (e.g., once daily, or multiple times throughout the day based on the queue).

  3. When the scheduled task runs, the system performs a two-step process to ensure a clean scheduling board:

  • Step 1: It cancels all existing, unassigned bundles that are still in a "Schedulable" state. (Details can be reviewed in the Processing Log).

  • Step 2: It generates new bundles by evaluating all current WO operations against your active, automatic bundling rules (processing them in order of Priority).
