Create a Facility Status Deduction Rule

Allow the system to automatically determine an asset's overall status based on the status of its sub-components. Ensure that critical component-level failures are immediately reflected in the high-level infrastructure view and eliminate the need for manual status updates.

Define a new rule

1. Navigate to Configuration > Core > Asset Management > Facility Status Deduction Rules.

2. Click New Rule.

3. Fill out the following fields:

   • Primary Status Code: The status of the parent asset.

   • Secondary Status Code: The status of the child/component.

   • Facility Status: The resulting status to be applied.

   • Priority: The ranking of this rule if multiple conditions are met.

4. Click Save.

Modify a rule

1. Click Modify for a rule in the Rule List.

2. Update the rule information as needed in the Rule pop-up window.

3. Click Save.
