About Asset Management

The Asset Management module allows an FSM Desktop user to define their customers' assets: the Technical Objects (devices, machinery, gauges, etc.) that a Resource interacts with when carrying out a Work Order. These Technical Objects can be associated with one another in hierarchical structures that mirror the relationships between these objects in the field. This module also enables an FSM user to keep track of Customers and their Partners.

Additionally, the Asset Management module enables an FSM user to view the Measurements made by Resources in the field, as well as any Censuses that they fill out. Those Measurements and Censuses can then be assessed remotely.

To learn more about how to configure and schedule your workforce, read about the Resource Management module. To learn more about the units of work that Resources carry out, read about the Work Order Management module. You can also learn about how all of these Core modules come together in the FSM’s Daily and Multi-Day Plan.

The main entities in the Asset Management module are defined below. Click the name of the entity to read more about it on that entity’s main page.
