Define the Booking with Scheduling model that dictates how appointments are found:
-
Navigate to Configuration > Scheduling Optimizations > Scheduling Models.
-
Select your operation center.
-
Click Search.
-
At the bottom of the page, click the New booking with scheduling model button.
-
To define exceptions, on the Selection field, click Exclude selected.
-
To define inclusions, on the Selection field, click Include selected.
-
Enter any required and optional information as for standard Scheduling Model
-
Click on the Advanced parameters tab to set the “minimum days range” (a specialized scheduling parameter for the capacity-based booking engine): the algorithm searchs available appointment slots in this range. If appointments are found, they are return to the users and the search in other future days is not performed.
-
If Saturation Resources (%) is set, remember to check Use new fillLevel in model in the related VRP Process
-
-
Click Save.
Set a default scheduling model
Important: When you save a new model as the default, it automatically removes the default status from any previous model for that operation center.
Each operation center can have one model used for standard booking processing. To make a scheduling model the default:
-
Navigate to the Scheduling Models page.
-
Search for your operation center.
-
Open the desired Booking with scheduling model.
-
Click the Processing parameters tab.
-
Set the model as the default.
-
Click Save.
Included/excluded features
When calculating availability, the scheduling engine takes the following into account:
-
Fixed teams: Teams that stay the same
-
Crew shells: Groups of resources that include specific skillsets
-
Unavailability: Whether a team is ready to do work or not
-
On-duty availability
-
Mandatory and excluded resources: Resources that are defined on the work order (WO)
-
Scheduling zones: Geographic constraints
The following features and rules are not managed within this specific scheduling logic:
-
Formations
-
Resources in mixed teams in daily plan: These resources are explicitly excluded during the scheduling phase.
-
Multistage: Pre-existing multistage links between activities in the daily plan are not considered.
-
Resource work schedule types: Only Day start/end displacement is currently managed.
-
Lock scheduling days rules
-
WO permit requirements
-
Day occupation rules
-
Day saturation rules
-
Preferred resources defined on the WO
