The Advanced Booking Module introduces a dynamic, resource-centric optimization paradigm. Instead of incrementing abstract slot counters, it utilizes an advanced Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) optimization engine (Gisware) to evaluate live resource shifts, real plan constraints, technician skill sets, and routing feasibility.
Prerequisites
To avoid execution errors, ensure these configurations are in place:
Territory and Organizational Mapping (ONLY IF TERRITORY IS USED):
-
Navigate to Configuration > Core > Organizational Structure > Operations Center.
-
In the right Filters panel, enter information to refine a search.
-
Press Search.
-
To check if the territory is set, find the Operation center row.
-
On the left of the row, click the Three dots menu > Operation center composition.
-
Verify that every relevant municipality is correctly associated with the Operations Center (required if managing boundaries via grids).
Simulation and Grid Activation:
-
Verify that the Capacity Grid (configured globally by Operations Center or by zones) is active.
-
Ensure the specific Simulation model is properly activated for the chosen Operations Center.
Work Order and Shift Alignment:
-
Ensure Work Order Types are associated with the Capacity Grid and that resource shifts are configured for the requested timeframe. If no technicians have active shifts in the target window, the service will throw a hard error.
Scheduling Configuration:
-
Confirm that Daemons for Booking with Scheduling logic are active for the Operation Center.
-
Confirm that the Scheduling Model is correctly configured.
-
Confirm that the VRP process is correctly configured.
