Create Coverage scenario

The coverage scenario allows you to match activity forecasts and resource forecasts, and it is based on an optimized coverage algorithm, that optimizes the demand’s coverage and resources' usage.

The result is displayed on a reporting page, where the user can view the overall quality of the scenario, or explore it in detail by individual activities or months.

Create a Coverage Scenario

  1. In the FSM App, navigate to FEATURES → FORECASTING & CAPACITY PLANNING → CAPACITY PLANNING

  2. Use the filter panel to search for existing scenarios

  3. Click the “New” button at the top-right of the page.

  4. Fill all mandatory fields presented in the form.

    1. Note: The Resource and Activity forecasts must have an overlapped range period.

  5. Click “Save” button to create the scenario.

After saving, the scenario will be assigned a Draft status. It is now ready to be executed.


  • Edit: Allows you to modify basic information about the scenario, such as its identifying code or descriptive text.

  • Calculate coverage: Execute the coverage scenario and start the optimized algorithm.

  • Delete: This action changes the status to Cancelled and the scenario can’t be used anymore.

  • Export in xlsx: Downloads the data contained within the selected scenario as a Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) file. This allows for offline review, analysis, or reporting.

  • Compare: to compare more scenarios.

  • Refresh: to refresh the scenario’s status.
