Manage map notifications and work order monitor

Track field operations in real-time and use notifications.

Prerequisites

For full functionality, use:

  • OpenLayers as your cartographic client.

  • Google Chrome as your browser.

Search and filter map operations

To define what data appears on your map:

  1. Navigate to Features > Core > Work Order Management > Notification and WO Monitor.

  2. Click the View layer control icon

  3. Choose from:

    • Notifications.

    • Work Orders.

    • Clients.

    • Facilities.

  4. To hide all objects that don’t belong to your operations center (OC), click the Show only notification and WO of my competence icon.

  5. To view the available background maps, click OpenStreetMap.

Select map objects to manage

To select a WO or notification:

  1. In the map view, click the Select notifications and work orders icon.

  2. From the top toolbar:

    • To select one item: Click Precise Selection > an icon on the map.

    • To capture multiple items: Click Rectangular Selection, then click and drag a box across an area of the map.

    • To keep current selections and click others: Toggle Additive Selection.

    • To highlight all visible searched objects: Click the Select All icon.

    • To clear the map: Click Clear all Notifications and Work Orders.

Process map notifications and WOs

To perform tasks on selected objects: 

  1. On the right, click the Notifications or Work Orders tab. 

  2. Next to an entry, click the Three dots menu.

  3. To point a green arrow at the exact location, click Center Map

  4. To open the administrative form, click Options menu > Notification/WO Detail.

  5. To officially assign the intervention to your queue, click Take in Charge.

Manage map facilities and assets

To interact directly with physical infrastructure and technical objects on the map:

  1. On the right, open the Facilities slide-out tab.

  2. To see an asset’s sub-components, click the Three dots menu > View Asset Structure.

  3. To pre-fill the WO with the facility's location and history, click the three dots menu

  4. Click Create New Work Order.

Understand map colors and shapes

To see how shapes and colors communicate urgency:

  1. At the top, click Key to open the legend.

  2. To check a specific item, select one:

    • Notification.

    • Work orders.

    • WO operations.

  3. In the Color section:

    • Red: Is high priority.

    • Orange (Default): Is medium or critical priority.

    • Green or yellow: Is low priority.

  4. In the Shape section:

    • Triangle: Is a notification.

    • Square: Is in progress.

    • Circle: Is to execute.

    • Hexagon: Is closed.

Identify WO themes

To check what a custom WO theme means:

  1. Navigate to Features > Core > Parameters > WO Themes

  2. Verify what the colors mean in the map, activity list, and informational pop-ups.
