Work Order Search helps field operators efficiently locate, review, and manage Work Orders (WOs). You can use various filters to quickly find the specific information or tasks you need, even if they aren’t on your daily schedule.
Search Work Orders
The Work Order Search feature lets you find work orders (WOs) using specific filters. The system only shows you WOs that match your filters, are visible based on your permissions, and match the filters configured in the PDA WO Transmission Rules section in the NextGen FSM Platform Back-End.
Search Filters
You can use a variety of filters to narrow your search.
-
Code: Search by WO code, an external WO code, or a specific WO operation’s index.
-
Type: Search by WO type. Choose only one value from a list.
-
Work Order Status: Search by WO status. Choose one or more values from a list.
-
Work Orders or Bundles: Search by work order or bundle. Choose to filter by either work order, bundle, or both.
-
Operation Status: Search for a specific WO operation by Status. Choose one or more values from a list.
-
Acceptance criteria: Choose to view only work orders that you can take on (only acceptable), or only those that you can’t take on (only not acceptable). If you don’t select an option, the search shows all results.
-
Date: Search by the WO’s creation date (Insert Date), due date (Due Date), or the date of an entered result (Outcome Date).
-
Technical Object code/description: Search by the Technical Object’s associated WO code or description.
-
Parent code/description: Search by the Root of the Technical Object structure’s associated WO code or description.
-
Municipality: Search WOs by the municipality
-
Distance: Search the WOs located at a given distance from the current location. Next-Gen FSM Platform Mobile uses your device’s GPS coordinates for this (for example, taking charge of the WO, arrival at the site, or starting the WO) if the detection was made within the last 10 minutes or at the current location.
View Results
From the results list, the operator can access detailed information about each WO, including planned interventions and attachments. Work Orders with multiple Operations correspond to multiple items in the result list, one for each Operation.
Suppose the Work Order’s status permits and the operator has the necessary permissions. In that case, they can also self-assign interventions directly from the mobile interface, particularly for those not scheduled in the Daily Plan.
Every result item shows the Work Order Operation’s main information:
-
Work Order Code
-
Work Order External Code
-
Work Order Operation Index
-
Activity description
-
Work Order start and due dates
-
Work Orders’ Technical Object main info (code, description, and address)
-
Details button (to display further information about the WO Operation)
-
Accept button (visible only if the operator can take charge of the result item)
By default, the NextGen FSM Platform Mobile only loads 10 results at a time. However, you can choose to view either 10 or 20 results using a drop-down selector. This flexible layout provides a more efficient and organized way to browse and manage search results.
Sort Results
On the work order results, a Sort By drop-down section allows the operator to choose the sorting criteria for the results. This enhancement simplifies navigation, improves data visibility, and helps you quickly locate and organize the information you need across different areas of the application.
The options available are:
-
Code (A-Z)(Z–A)
-
Scheduling date (most or least recent)
-
Urgency
-
Distance (nearest or farthest)
After selecting a field, the results are automatically reorganized, making it easier to prioritize and find relevant entries.
