Monitor Work Order Suspension and Cancellation Status

This guide explains how to identify if a work order is currently suspended or pending cancellation by viewing a new read-only field on the Work Order Detail Page in OverIT's NextGen FSM platform. This enhancement provides users with clearer operational visibility and improves decision-making during order management.

Before you begin

Ensure you have access to the Work Order Detail Page within the FSM product.

How to Check Suspension/Cancellation Status

  1. Navigate to the Work Order Detail Page for the specific work order you wish to check.

  2. Locate the Suspension/Cancellation Status field. This field is typically found in the main summary or status section of the page.

  3. Observe the value displayed in this read-only text field:

    • Active Suspension: The work order is currently suspended.

    • Pending Cancellation: The work order has been marked for cancellation.

    • (Empty): The work order is not currently subject to suspension or cancellation.

After you finish

Understanding the suspension or cancellation status allows dispatchers and operations managers to immediately understand if there is a pending issue on a work order, preventing accidental processing of suspended or soon-to-be-cancelled orders. This improves transparency and enables faster decision-making as users no longer need to query additional systems to verify the order status.

Note that a suspension or cancellation flag may indicate either that the work order is currently locked or that it has been marked for cancellation after being dispatched to the mobile workforce.
