Job Bundler

To streamline operation management, Job Bundler helps users schedule and predict bundles of work orders. Job bundles enhance the efficiency of scheduling, managing WO operations, and field operations. They:

  • Group related work order operations (WOOs) into a single consolidated work order.

  • Improve field technicians’ efficiency by listing sequential tasks for each visit.

  • Optimize schedules, since technicians perform multiple interventions in a single visit.

    • Note: These interventions may be multi-utility.

How Job Bundles work

Schedule bundles of operations with the same operations center. Bundles have defined aggregation rules, which combine a job type with one or more criteria like:

  • The plant that needs maintenance

  • The intervention location

  • The expected execution interval

  • Skills required

  • Team cardinality (number of technicians in a team)

  • Geographic coordinates

  • Expected work dates and appointment

  • Duration of tasks

Note: Select these criteria based on the operations or during module configuration.

Common use cases for job bundles

Use job bundles to group together operations for the same customer, location, type of activity, or linear assets.

Group different activities for the same end customer

When a single end customer needs different utilities from the same provider, bundle these activities into one appointment.

  • This minimizes technician visits for the customer.

  • It optimizes the provider's schedule, management, and travel time.

Combine activities within a geographic area

To reduce travel time, activities are grouped in the same geographical area, such as:

  • Municipality: For distant areas, interventions are grouped and assigned to the same team on the same day.

  • Street: To stay in one location, low-impact activities are bundled if they are along the same street.

    • Eg. A technician reading meters doesn’t have to change locations.

  • Street number / Building: Only one team enters a building, so safety procedures only happen once.

Bundle activities of the same type

When activities require unconventional conditions or specialized equipment, job bundles streamline the allocation of resources to:

  • Maximize the use of uncommon skills.

  • Streamline the allocation of the unconventional equipment to the teams.

  • Train technicians in specific skills.

Bundle jobs for linear assets

Planners group, sequence, and assign tasks along linear paths on the map through GIS mapping. On their mobile devices, field technicians receive optimized work packages with clear task sequencing and guidance.
