Configure outcome causes for override skills

When you configure a specific outcome cause, technicians can block a work order (WO) in the field and flag it for a skills review. Then back-office users can review and modify skills in the accounting monitor.

Prerequisites

You must have access to the Outcome Causes configuration menu.

Configure outcome causes

  1. Click Configuration > Core > Work Order Management > Accounting > Outcome Causes.

  2. Create a new outcome cause or select an existing one to edit.

  3. In the outcome cause details, set:

    • Class to Replanning.

    • Causal Type to Partial.

    • Outcome Type to Blocker.

  4. In the new Boolean field, set Enable Insufficient Skills to true.

    • Note: This field has a tooltip with the following description: "Assigns Work Orders (WO) to the Dynamic Skill process, allowing users to add new skills or tools to the specific WO record, if required."

  5. Save the outcome cause record.

Note: A validation message informs you of the necessary conditions to save a record. The Class, Causal Type, or Outcome Type must match the required values to save.
