Manage skills and qualifications with NextGen’s FSM. Skills are the abilities and expertise that resources possess to perform the work order (WO).
Match skills and resources
The system provides:

A primary skills database in the Skills interface.

Click Main > Core > Configurations > Skill Management > Skills.

A way to assign one or more skills to a resource in the Resources interface.

Click Main > Scheduling Configuration > Resources Management > Resources.

Select Skills, Qualifications, and Roles.

A way to require one or more skills for the WO.

Note: This isn’t necessary when adding manual scheduling.

Match outcomes
The system handles the match between a resource or team’s skills and those required for a WO as either:

A warning (manual scheduling).
-
A strong or blocking constraint (automatic scheduling).
