Search for Technical Objects

Navigate, analyze, and expand your asset infrastructure. Manage the entire lifecycle of a facility, from its initial registration to its hierarchical positioning and historical maintenance tracking.

Search for Technical Objects

Locate specific assets using a wide array of identifiers, ranging from basic codes to complex technical specifications.

  1. Navigate to Features > Core > Asset Management > Technical Object Search.

  2. Fill in one or more of the search fields.

  3. Click Select.

Manage and navigate asset structures

You can view and configure advanced navigation and management options for a technical object. To do this:

  1. Right-click a technical object in the Facility List.

  2. Click one of the following options:

    1. Display: Show a facility’s details.

    2. Show Structure: Opens the full visual tree of the asset.

    3. View Upper Level/ View Lower Level: Quickly jump one step up to the parent or one step down to child components.

    4. Show Whole Branch: Displays every related element from the root down to the smallest component.

    5. Associate Operations Centers: Link the asset to a physical storage location or a specific regional Operations Center.

    6. Massive Status Change: Change the statuses of selected facilities in an operations center (OC).

    7. Generate from massive template: Create a WO from a template.

    8. Generate Notification: Immediately trigger a maintenance request linked to the selected asset.

    9. Load Timerange Configuration: The target dates for a technical object.

    10. Facility archive: View the complete historical log of every change made to the asset’s master data.

  3. Perform the actions or enter the information as required by the options that you click.

Add a new technical object

Adding a new technical object requires defining its identity, its location, and its technical attributes.

  1. Click Add Technical Object.

  2. Enter the facility’s personal data in the Personal Data tab. The following data is required:

    1. Code: The object’s unique internal ID.

    2. Facility Type: The technical object’s facility type.

    3. Town: The object’s city.

  3. Click Save.

Edit a technical object

  1. Select a technical object in the list.

  2. Click the three dots menu.

  3. Click Update features

  4. Edit the technical object’s information as necessary.

  5. Click Save

View technical objects

To see all of the technical objects that are associated with an operations center (OC):

  1. Click Technical Objects Summary.

  2. Enter at least one of the following search parameters:

    1. Operations Center: The OC in which to view the technical objects.

    2. Town: The technical objects in a town or city.

    3. Root Facility Type: The type of technical object.

  3. Click Search.

  4. View the OC’s technical objects in the Facilities list table.
