NextGen FSM

Create Workload Analysis

The workload analysis allows to improve the workload balancing during a selected period, based on the capacity availability.

It is only based on real-data (work-shifts and work order operations), allowing to change execution’s period manually or automatically.

The result is displayed on a reporting page, where the user can view the overall balancing of the workload, and explore it in detail to optimize it.

Before you start

Create a Workload Analysis

  1. In the FSM App, navigate to FEATURES → FORECASTING & CAPACITY PLANNING → WORKLOAD ANALYSIS

  2. Use the filter panel to search for existing analyses

  3. Click the “New” button at the top-right of the page.

  4. Fill all mandatory fields presented in the form.

  5. Click “Save” button to create the analysis.

After saving, the analysis will be assigned a Draft status. It is now ready to be configured.

Description

Time Unit

The Time Unit field is used to define the time scale for grouping the workload, which can be daily, weekly, or monthly.

Time Size

The Time Size field, on the other hand, allows grouping by a specified number of days, weeks, or months.

The combination of Time Unit and Time Size provides maximum flexibility in workload distribution, enabling users to visualize the workload month by month, every two months, every two weeks, and so on.

Workload Distribution Rule

Select one workload distribution rule, to define how balance the workload

  • Edit: Allows you to modify basic information about the analysis, such as its identifying code or descriptive text.

  • Import work order operations: it allows to select work order operations to import in a Draft analysis, grouping them by operation type, activity and urgency

  • Import work-shifts: it allows to select work-shifts to import in a Draft analysis.

  • Copy: create a copy of existing workload analysis

  • Workload Analysis result: it allows to see the report’s result of a “Processed:OK” analysis

  • Run workload analysis: Execute the workload analysis based on the selected workload distribution process.

  • Delete: This action changes the status to Cancelled and the analysis can’t be used anymore.

  • Compare: to compare more workload analyses with a “Processed:OK” status.

  • Refresh: to refresh the workload analysis’ status.

  • Configure a workload distribution rule
