Overview
To generate a Work Order (WO), you must first define its type. This configuration ensures that every work request is correctly categorized and processed. You define a WO type by specifying three key characteristics: the Request Type, the Service Type, and the Technical Object Type.
Prepare Required Components
Before you create a WO type, ensure that the following components already exist. If they don't, you need to create and define them.
-
Request type: Define the categories of demand (for example, ordinary maintenance, emergency, customer requests). See Create a Request Type.
-
Service type: Define the activities to perform (for example, inspection, cleaning, new activation).
-
Technical Object type: Define the categories of assets where work takes place. See Create a Technical Object Type.
Create a Work Order Type
After the components are available, you combine them to define a unique Work Order type. For detailed instructions, see Create a Work Order Type.
